Wrenn City of Birmingham BR Blue Loco & Tender. Now then, I will be listing a number of unboxed, professionally Re Sprayed/Re-finished Wrenn Locos…All the Locos are from the same collector. He didn’t own them for the purpose of running, they were purely for display. Most of the Locos are resprays of the rarer Wrenn Locos. Understandably due to the fact he couldn’t locate the real thing. Although he wasn’t that particular about the original Wrenn Loco colours. He was insistent that they all his Stanier Class Locos, were equipped with large wheeled M2 Chassis and Cab insert Backheads.He was also a very discerning chap, therefore he only comissioned the best of todays painters to take on his resprays. The Loco & Tender are in mint, unboxed condition, and is finished to the highest standard. It’s finished in BR Experimental Blue, using orignal late Wrenn Birmingham Cabsides, and original Wrenn Nameplates. I believe the Lining is also Wrenn. It is housed on an ‘M2’ Chassis, featuring larger (Castle) wheels, as per the later Wrenn City Locos. An absolutley superb example, ideal for display, or the Wrenn or Hornby Dublo layout. No reserve.
