This 1980/81 production Wrenn model of the Bullied designed Light Pacific 4-6-2 West Country ” Eddystone” (No 34028) is In working order and in superb original condition.

Do check the photos to make sure that you are happy with the condition please before bidding

I was given this brand new engine and tender, by a good friend, for my 21st birthday in 1981……..yes sadly I am now 58!

On the back of the box is written; …”Neil / from Jim 25th July 1981″……The day of my 21st birthday party!
(Actually my birthday is in August but my sister was having her eighteenth party at the same time)

This engine has had very very little use but l have tried her out again on a make shift track with my son.
What pulling power and superb weight to scale ratio Wrenn diecast engines had when built. No running problems as can be seen in the photo!

Do bear in mind that this engine is nearly 40 years old and is therefore sold as…” in used running condition, not new and may require servicing.”

I’m only selling because she looks sightly sad in my display case. She needs to be run on a good big layout with a caring owner.

Both engine and tender have spent most of theirr life boxed and will come in that original box which is also in reasonable order (scuffing to edges and original sellotape marks) with original packing tissue and tubes.

Also includes, Wrenn’s original instruction leaflet and the Coupling conversion kit which is still in its sealed bag with instruction leaflet

I dont think you will get a genuine one owner model and I will give you a note to say that she belonged to me from new.

For those interested in the story of the real Eddystone go to www southern-locomotives.co.uk for a current update on her. Bought for 6,000 from Barry in the 1980s she is based at Swanage Railway Dorset and currently nearing the end of a 5 year boiler and running gear overhaul. Should be back in steam next year

Thanks for looking Neil.
