Here is the opportunity to own a vintage early Hornby/Meccano O Gauge reversing LNER clockwork tank locomotive No 2900.It is in very good, fully functional condition with all buffers, couplings, control rod nuts etc. There is some paint loss and a few minor dents, including around where the key is inserted to wind the mechanism. The top rear lamp bracket has broken off, but the three lower ones are still present – as are the two lower ones at the front and the one above HORNBY.The loco winds up and runs very well, and is controlled by moving the two rods horizontally at the back – one for on/off (start/stop) the other for forward/reverse. It should also be possible to “automatically” stop or send the loco in the opposite direction using suitable “control” track(s).There is no key.It is thought that this item dates from the 1930’s.I have more model railway items to sell, so please take a look at my other items (and subsequent listings).If you have not already done so, be sure to add me to sellers you follow !!!
