Vintage Hornby Railways OO Gauge, made for Australian market: Trans-Australia Train Set, Commonwealth Railways. Maroon and silver Diesel Locomotive and three silver Coaches, tracks, in original Set box, all stamped Hornby Railways, circa 1977-1978.
Rare, limited edition, in original box.
Beautiful train, and great collectors item.Vintage 1977-78, made in Margate, England. Produced for mail order or direct to the Australian market, so rare.

Condition: Used
The cardboard box is in very poor condition, and the polystyrene foam inner box is starting to show it’s age.
The tracks are in very good condition (probably need a light clean, though).
The locomotive and carriages are in very good condition.
The locomotive has been tested and it works and its lights work.
The transformer/controller in the box does NOT work – missing connections etc.
Generally, just needs a little TLC after being in cupboards for decades.
