This train set is in its original box, which is in reasonable condition, and bears the legend “Hornby Clockwork Train No 1 Tank Goods Set. It consists of a tank engine (which still worked when last played with!) two wagons and a guards van in LMS livery, together with a circle of track. All are in very good condition. The set belonged to my father, who was born in 1916, and presumably acquired the set in the early/mid 1920s. Box also includes a leaflet of track plans and advertisements for Meccano Magazine and the ‘Hornby Railway Company’ (all undated)
