Highly collectable vintage very early Bing or Bassett lowke style tubular track. Probably first used in the attic of a grand Edwardian house.

The curves are approximately 4ft radius, mostly tubular brass, but some are the more common tubular tinplate. The points are tubular tinplate. One curve is detached from the slatted sub-base. One has lost it’s centre rail – but there are enough bits to make an oval using the extra pieces for spares.

Good condition for age. Brass track ranges from very good to badly tarnished, The tinplate has surface rust but appears to clean up ok. Also includes additional connector pins. Definitely lost its sense of newness, but not the worst early tinplate track I have seen for sale either.

Sold for display – it will require fettling in places should you wish to run 3 rail electric on it. Probably OK for live steam with some attention in places.

Since it uses the same components as early O Gauge track, it could be re-gauged to O Gauge if you have the time and patience.

This was acquired as a job lot with some earlier Bing, Bassett Lowke, plus later Tenmille & Peco track, G1 buildings and accessories. I am trying to concentrate on one type of track so am offering the remainder for sale – please see my other items.

NOTE: The locomotive and rolling stock pictured are not included in the sale. They are purely pictured so the size of the job lot can be ascertained.
