Over the years I have collected and bought numerous Hornby and Triang trains, signal boxes, platforms and all manner of accessories. Some of these items dated from my childhood of the 1960’s and 70’s. I have decided to sell off some of my pieces. ALL MY MODEL TRAINS ARE BRITISH MADE WITH THE OCCASIONAL MODELS MADE IN AUSTRALIA AND NZ. These models are from another era. Sought after and collectable. Buy these models with confidence.
On offer is Triang OO gauge NZ3DP set of Locomotive and three carriages. Full set minus the box. Done in NZ railways livery.
Locomotive is in excellent condition. Three carriages are in ‘as new’ condition. These are among the best ones I have ever seen.
This locomotive and 3 carriages come from the New Zealand NZ3DP Train set. The locomotive is ‘Built in Australia and the three carriages are ‘Made in New Zealand’.
Transfers on the loco are near excellent (some very minor loss). The carriage transfers are all ‘as new’.
The track is all in excellent condition. 4 curves and 4 straights. Series 3 track. (It is my understanding that this is how much track was provided with the original boxed set. There was nothing else offered with the set).
I am offering a R159 Box with this listing which is in ‘as new’ condition but it is a reproduction.
This locomotive and set of three carriages are extremely rare. Finding New Zealand made rolling stock (particularly in this condition) is virtually impossible now.
MADE IN AUSTRALIA. Locomotive would have been made around 1960 by Moldex in Melbourne.
MADE IN NEW ZEALAND. The three carriages would have also been made around 1960 in Auckland.
