This auction is for one new reproduction of the instruction sheet only, from the Tri-ang Hornby R.402 Operating Royal Mail Coach Set.
R.402 was the B.R. Maroon TPO coach. (Made 1962-1970)
This version was first released in 1962, with new fittings to fit the then new Super 4 Track.
Tri-ang Hornby was formed in 1965, with the amalgamation of Tri-ang Railways, and Hornby Dublo. Meccano Ltd., the makers of Hornby Dublo, were taken over by the Lines Bros. Group, the makers of Tri-ang Railways in 1964.
These instructions would date to around 1965 – 1966.
The R.402 set was basically the same from 1962 until 1970.From 1970, the coach was made in B.R. Blue and Greylivery.
