I am thinning out my collection and will be listing a number of items over the coming days. I do my best to describe each item accurately and include photos from all angles. Please check the photos carefully so you know what you are bidding on.
Here is a rake of 3 Jouef French (SNCF) international (UIC) 1st class coaches in original hard Perspex boxes. They are HO gauge, catalogue number 4690, fitted with DC axels, and are in the green livery with black rooves of the early 1970s. The condition is good with all buffers and couplings present. These 3 coaches run very smoothly and have frosted windows. The destination boards say “Paris Est, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Munchen Hbf, Wien West, Bucuresti Nord which suggests this may have been a model of rolling stock used on the so-called Direct Orient Express that replaced the lavish CIWL services of the railways heyday. It seems that this livery was a limited edition produced from 1969 to 1972.
