I bought this loco as “NEW” While the loco is flawless and runs well it is not new. the coupler bag is no linger with it. Not a scratch on it and the famous Proto 2000 gear problems have been fixed. I lubed the loco and it is ready for service. This model did have the grease that would get hard and turn to a rock after being in storage. It is all cleaned out and re lubed. I know these P2K loco’s well and I would never send one out without servicing it. Great locos!
DCC ready. Recommend the TCS LL8 board for DCC. Makes it easy on these locos.
