This boxed Piko 4-wheel wagon is in lovely condition, turned out in DR (East German Rlys) Brown livery and carrying the running number 560 2 094-8. It is pre-owned but looks very lightly used.
Flaws: A common problem with this model, several of the hinged “lids” have some damage to the hinges. Two are perfect; the other four each have damage to one hinge. All the lids are still attached by one hinge and, once closed, look absolutely fine. The simplest solution would be a couple of drops of glue, leaving just the two that open.
Mechanically, it is perfect; the metal wheels and sprung couplings, along with the buffers, are all immaculate and the wagon is really free-running.
Cosmetically, the livery and lettering are in nice condition, all legible. There are plenty of small details, with all the separate handrails and the brake platform in tidy, undamaged condition.
The photographs show the actual model you will receive, judge its condition for yourself. Measured over the buffers, it is about 12cm in length and will look great on a continental layout.
The damaged hinges are reflected in the low price, a chance to get your hands on this excellent Piko wagon for just 5.99 – an absolute bargain.
