’00’ gauge 4mm scale etched nameplates originally supplied by “Shawplan Model Products” to replicate a model of prototype class 55 “D9002 KING’S OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY” as used by BR during the 1960’s, 70’s and early 80’s (as ordered by “Moray’s Models” for this limited edition model commissioned from LIMA). This prototype, now as part of the Heritage Collection stabled at the National Railway Museum at York, carried these nameplates in the original BR two-tone green livery during 1960’s. Also when repainted and renumbered as TOPS ‘55002’ in 1970’s into BR blue livery up to and since preservation repainted into both BR two-tone green and BR blue liveries specifically for main line running with electro-warning flashes and ‘orange’ over head electric warning ‘cantrail’ stripes, also high intensity head lights fitted at both ends.These nameplates are accurately scaled down from the actual plates carried by the prototype, also finished with a ‘RED’ painted background.
