EXHIBITION STANDARD fully detailed and weathered throughout.
Based on THE MILL FILLING STATION, Nancledra, Cornwall.On the B3311.This one-off only super detailed & weathered scene is ready to plant on your laypout.It’s edges are all chamfered to fit flush to your baseboard.
The Mill Filling Station, famous for well known Huge Hunter, one of Cornwall’s oldest mechanics well into his 80s.The model has had some compression to the prototype and the roof had been restored to tiles, All the windows in the main building are made using wood, so too are the sliding doors, which have been detailed & weathered as peeling aged paint. This goes for all the other items too.The Grass is multi-layered static with daisies & buttercups near ground level, & orange/red poppies dancing above them.A dry stone wall borders two sides.The old railway wagon has been detailed to be rather grotty, It definitely could do with a few new planks.There is also quite a few discarded junk about the place, rusting away.The petrol pumps still stand proud, but have now been in hibernation for many years.
The trees…The big deciduous in the corner is fixed, but the 4 pine are not. You can pose then where you wish, or not at all, it’s totally for your personal preference, once you decide where to place them, a dab of superglue and as firm press down & the little pin will sink & the tree will stand firm. The pines are totally scratch built and super detailed with static needles, peeling bark & dead lower branches.The whole scene is weathered using a consistent method to blend the whole scene together, which includes, grime from the years, dust layer, algae/moss, leaking gutters staining the walls, the tarmac is also totally weathered.The build was followed on Facebook & got so many likes & comments i’ve lost count. It’s also made many new friends.
