New Kato N Scale UP Union Pacific Dining Car (Unnumbered)
This is a brand new Kato N Scale Smooth Side Union Pacific Dining car that is unnumbered. This dining passenger car is in excellent condition, having never been used.
Includes the following:
Rolling low profile metal wheels and Katoknuckle couplers 11″ (282mm) minimum turning radius on groundlevel track, and 15″ (381mm) minimum turning radius on viaduct track

This unnumbered Union Pacific Dining Car comes as part of a 4-car set, Union Pacific Smoothside Passenger Car 4-Car Set #106-1054. Kato’s original prototype for this passenger car is an 85 ACF (American Car & Foundry) Kitchen-Diner car. American Car and Foundry Company built the cars at their St. Charles, Missouri plant in 1949.
The standard light weight car could accommodate 48 diners with some of the finest meals in service. The doors on the sides were used by the kitchen staff to load supplies at intermediate stops. Generally positioned in the middle of the consist, The kitchen end of the diner ran toward the front of the train, informally separating coach class from first class.
Set #106-1054, as well as its companion set, #106-1055, consisted of unnumbered passenger cars, and did so for a very specific reason. This allows collectors and modelers to customize these with the road numbers of their choosing.

This dining car will be carefully wrapped for shipping. It does not come with a jewel case. Will happily combine shipping on items won on the same day.
