I am reluctant to have to offer my complete N Gauge Layout for sale. This really is a fantastic built layout and has so much detail and work put into it.
The layout comprises of a total running space of 10 feet long and 3.5 feet wide. The trackwork is all peco and fully laid with ballast and associated weathering to the trackwork. Points are all peco and manually operated but there is scope for the new owner to add motors to these. Track is pre-wired on the boards and has been working with gauge master 4 track controller and a gauge master single track controller. This is a DC ONLY layout.
The baseboard is built and designed to split into to 5feet sections with the scenics also broken into 5 parts that lift off the main board. This is very light but well built and braced. Supported on 4 bracket/braces which are included.
All buildings are Metcalfe card kits and have been painstakingly built to match the era and surroundings. Roads, paths, roadworks, people, scaffolding, trees and shrubs all modelled and included.
Layout is Able to run 4 trains at once and hold upto 10 trains on the layout! Layout has the following:4 continuous loops to the main board all wired and working fully so can run 4 trains at once. Shed and maintenance area coming off of two of the tracks which holds a train also. X10 three aspect colour signals (will require wiring in) Separate track to the rear of the layout with an elevated section and separately controlled to a town station. Rear of the layout behind the backdrop fiddle yard/passing loop trackwork to run/hold 8 trains. Bridges, and tunnels all modelled and fully working. Total of over 85 Metcalfe Buildings including hotels, shops, houses, cinema, bus stations, petrol stations, garages, industrial area, church, school, multi-story car park (will hold n gauge cars), flats, country station, train maintenance depot. The work that has gone into this is amazing with attention to details but there is so much scope for the new owner to add to this and really carry on and take it to the next level. In terms of value of track, buildings and electrics and accessories this exceeds 2500.00 not to even mention the time to build! Reluctantly I need to let this go due to a change in personal circumstances which means that I wont have the space to take this with me. The layout has been housed in my garage which is fully lit, damp proofed, double glazed and heated so no damp/damage to it at all. I am also selling off many extra items such as my rolling stock, model cars, accessories and controllers. PLEASE NOTE: controllers, cars and rolling stock NOT included in this sale at all. Buyer will need to collect this from Milton Keynes. I will be happy to help load this with the buyer but may need a small van to collect.
