This lot comprises a Graham Farish #1801 Class 5MT ‘Black Five’ 5041 in LMS black.
It is a very nice looking and clean bit of kit, as you can hopefully see from the photos. As you will see from video, it ran well forwards when tested but there is some issue when reversed. I don’t know how clear this is in the video but it seems the tender pushes against the engine when reversing around corners and this lifts the engine wheel and halts progress. the engine runs fine in reverse without the tender so it seems the tender is the issue.
I have uploaded a video of this lot running which you can check out on Youtube by entering DJB101 (The creaking in the video is the camera focus and NOT the engine). If you just google DJB101 it usually shows up there too. Hope this helps.
I know very little more about the item beyond that it runs from checking it on a small test track. Please ask any questions that you may have before bidding.
I will be listing around thirty n gauge items in the next few days and will always combine P&P to give the best price possible.
I will send Royal Mail second class signed for due to the value of the lot.
I am happy to post worldwide but would ask buyers from outside mainland UK to contact me for a P&P before bidding.
