Postage costs – I gave a lot of thought as to whether to offer free postage, or add the postage cost separately and lower the buy it now price. I decided on the latter as often people buy more than one item and when sellers offer free postage they factor postage costs into the Buy it Now price.
The problem is however if you buy more than one item with free postage, you end up effectively paying individual full postage costs for each item, even though they will be sent much cheaper in one package. So I decided to offer separate postage charges so that if you buy more than one item you will get the benefit of a reduced, combined postage charge.
As an example, I can send large, heavy parcels of up to 30kg for around 10, and around 7 or 8 for 5kg – 10kg, but this is just a guide as I will need to factor in the additional cost to fully insure items.
I will send an invoice with combined postage but if you pay immediately, I will refund any excess postage paid.
So yes, I do combine postage!

This item will be sent carefully packaged. If there is any damage to the packaging please make this clear when signing for it. Please also take pictures of any damage BEFORE opening the package. Postage cost is to the UK mainland ONLY – the cost will probably be more to outlying areas such as Scottish Highlands/Islands, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands etc. for the usual reasons. Please ask me for a quote and/or I will calculate the additional cost and send you an additional invoice for the extra charge. As a guide though Royal Mail is normally the same cost to anywhere in the UK, but depending on the weight and size and items, often couriers are the much cheaper option. The general rule of thumb is anything below 2kg = Royal Mail, anything over 2kg = courier.
I always send my items by trackable & signed for, along with insurance if necessary, which of course is an added cost and therefore reflected in the postage costs.I do NOT seek to make any profit on postage – I reuse packaging material as much as possible and simply charge the actual postage cost, plus a small amount to cover time, petrol, consumables etc. and other direct costs/fees (14% Ebay/Paypal fees on postage costs charged) associated with selling this item. I will also combine postage costs as far as possible (sometimes this is not possible due to size/weight issues) so if you buy more than one item please let me know and I’ll send a revised invoice with the adjusted postage cost.Please note that I will usually send the following working day after purchase and delivery should be expected 2-3 WORKING days after that day, but please allow 3-5 days just in case. I do however not always have access to a car so there may be a small delay for this reason. Most of my items are received 2-3 days after delivery to the post office or courier drop off location, but of course this cannot be guaranteed as the process is out of my hands.
Please bear in mind that for me to take items to the post office or courier drop off to store, I need to have my wife’s car (the nearest place by foot is an hour round trip). This means having to take her to work and pick her up in the evening, which is a 12 mile trip in rush hour traffic (3 miles each way x 2), which takes me 30 minutes each way. I then have the cost of going to and from the post office (1.5 miles each way) or courier drop off location (2 or 3 miles each way). If I have a dozen items to post then the additional cost per item is small and not worth worrying about. However, if I only have one parcel, then all of this travelling about equates to about 3 in petrol and 1.5 hours of my time. So when taking this into account, along with losing almost 15% of the postage costs charged to Ebay/Paypal, the overall cost of postage is far more than what I charge.This item can be collected from me here near Gatwick free, but CASH ON COLLECTION only due to ever increasing false and vexatious Paypal claims.Any questions please ask.
