This item is an interesting early electric train, designed to run on a battery to avoid the danger of electrocution from mains power, there is no battery, but I believe that it is a 9 volt battery, an old fashioned PP3 , I am told that they are no longer available so I cannot say whether the engine would run, although it is clean inside, it has been suggested that 2 x 4.5 cycle lamp batteries would work. The set consists of a locomotive with a tender, and 2 x Pullman coaches, there is an oval of track, with a single signal. The set comes in a battered box, the parts are marked Made in Great Britain.
