Max Gray 2-Bay Composite Hopper In Need

Up for auction is this vintage hopper fabricated in Japan by Katsumi for Max Gray. The wood and metal construction of the prototype was common in the early 20th Century, but was also used during WW-II in order to conserve steel. Generally, the car appears to be in good condition but requires the replacement of one stirrup and reattachment of a cut bar, which has come loose, on one end. The car is equipped with sprung trucks and Kadee couplers. There is no original box. It will be packed in a sturdy replacement and double boxed for safe shipping.
