A 4mm scale resin Loco body & tender kit to build an example of these robust & lightweight early goods locos with their distinctive sloping smokebox door. Can be fitted to the Hornby ‘J15’ chassis, or any 8ft + 8ft6 etched chassis kit. Instructions are also included for motorising the old Airfix / Hornby 4F chassis.
Originally built for the LSWR, many members were sent to the middle east during WW1. The Southern recognised their usefulness & they eventually found their way all over the system, including the Kent & East Sussex line.
This kit is no longer in production, & is unlikely to be repeated.
