A very simple 4mm scale set of loco & tender body mouldings to reproduce one of the pair of streamlined 4-6-0’s introduced in 1937 for the ‘East Anglian’ Express service. These were basically standard members of the ‘Footballer’ B17 class given racy new clothes, & the pair ran as ‘East Anglian’ & ‘City of London’ until the streamlined bodies were removed by BR in the early 1950’s, when they went back to their original identities.
This very easy kit is designed to fit on the tender-driven Hornby ‘Footballer’ chassis, & only needs handrails, buffers & painting, plus a few other details to complete. It can most likely be fitted to the latest type loco driven variety also, as there’s plenty of room inside the bodywork, but I’ve not tried it myself.
The parts come from a brand new mould, so are as sharp & clean as it’s possible for them to be, with minimal tidying up to do.
