This transformer was one of the best for the Lionel Train Set up. It has the whistle control. This transformer was stored in a basement, on a shelf but there was dampness in the basement, and the box has deteriorated and gotten musty from sitting there 35 or 40 years.. The transformer has been used and they taped the top logo disc with black electric tape to make it stay on. The transformer also shows other signs of wear and tear and use. As you can see, I have plugged it in when I took it to the scale.Ignore the mess, I just wanted to see what lit up. As you can see the red light goes on, the green one doesn’t. This could be something malfunction in the electronics, or it could just be a bad bulb. You are on your own with this one. it is a nice unit, but in need of some handy man attention.
