Here we have a superb Lima models mk2 converted into an iarnrod eireann mk2b buffet car and resprayed into Iarnrod Eireann Livery, ideal for your Bachmann mk2a coaches.
In the early 1990’s IE swapped a number of scrapped locos in exchange for a number of older mk2 a/b’s coaches from a uk scrap dealer to enhance capacity on the network, two of which were converted into buffet cars.This model depicts one of these converted mk2b buffet cars which wore the normal “intercity” bodyside branding and IE door logos.
Model has been further enhanced by replacement Hornby metal wheelsets.
Decals applied, smooth runners ,all buffers ,couplings complete.
