Hornby SR T9 4-4-0 Tender engine 00 Gauge ( Spares or repair)
When I got this it was a non runner and the cab roof was missing along with some other minor bits missing
The motor housing alloy had rotted and the motor wasn’t sitting properly. I fixed this bu removing the rotten metal and just gluing the motor and remaining bits of housing into place which seems to have done the trick
A new cab roof was made from a bit of curved white metal covered in plasticard that is glued onto the cab sides using PVA. Can be easily removed if someone has the correct bit . I would say my cab roof isn’t long enough although I think it looks ok. The handrails are bits of painted brass rod glued in place.
The are some other bits missing such as sides steps . The rear coupling is upside down as I didn’t have the correct NEM shouldered spare . It performs a function
Ran ok when tested. To run the tender needs to be plugged in to the engine
