This Hornby Live Steam power controller / transformer set came with a collection of model train items that I recently acquired and am presently listing for sale. I’ve really no clue about this set but I think it may be faulty so I’ll describe what I know and you can make your own minds up. When you switch on it powers up with the red lights on and the needle pointer moves. The green lights also come on in various settings of the wheel and lever. However, whichever position it is in, after about 10 seconds, a highish pitch noise starts, the lights go out and the needle jumps back to 5. That’s all I can tell you so hopefully you will know from that whether it is faulty. Offered up for spares or repair on a sold as seen basis. Any questions welcome.
