Hornby R52: LMS 3F 0-6-0 ‘jinty’ repainted as no.7, unboxed, working, VGC
The original ‘jinty’ loco was produced by Tri-ang in 1953, remaining in production with minor tweaks for more than 20 years, before its replacement by a substantively new model in 1978. This particular listed example of the original version was made probably in the early 1970s, as evidenced by its ‘Hornby’ impress on the body shell.
Condition
The loco, which is not DCC-ready, is supplied unboxed. I have cleaned the commutator and wheels and lubed as appropriate: upon track testing the loco runs very strongly and throatily in both directions ! Cosmetically, the loco has been repainted in matt black and has been renumbered to LMS no.7: there are some rub marks visible on the matt black finish (eg photos 4 & 7). Otherwise, the loco is in very good condition with intact detailing, decals, buffers and couplings.

I am happy to combine items to save my time and your postage costs, where this is possible. It is NOT possible where (i) it will result in a package for posting overseas which weighs in excess of 2 kg (ii) the very nature of the items (shape/weight/fragility) being combined renders combined packaging impractical.
