A Hornby OO gauge R2250 British Railways 4-6-0 Class 5 MT (Black 5) locomotive and tender number 45253 in British Railways lined black livery with early BR crest on the tender sides.
The locomotive is very nicely detailed with sprung buffers, wire handrails, train vacuum pipes etc and has interior cab highlighted features (see photo). One of the cab wind-shields on the side window is missing on the fireman’s side.
The locomotive is in excellent used condition with very good livery. Wheels are clean and details are intact (except for the above mentioned wind break).
On the track, the locomotive is loco drive and is fitted with a very smooth five-pole motor. It runs very well both ways. It is supplied in its original Hornby box complete with foam protective insert, instructions, vanity card and an unopened detail pack.
