Up today is two Margate built Hornby Top Link British Rail Standard Class 9F’s in the three pole tender drive version.
BR 9F in Black. Top Link R2016 No. 92001BR 9F in Black, Top Link R2057 No. 92212
Both units have been retrofitted back with the earlier brass motor pinion gear over the poor performing cast “Grey metal” version.
Both are in great condition, however the OEM boxes are average to good.
Also included is a range of Margate Build spares;
One BR 7MT/9F Three pole Ring-field motor. Runs well!One LNER A1, A2, A3, A4 Three Pole Ring-field motor assy. Runs well!Coupling rods, Margate build tender frames, tender weight screws and a chassis assy from an English build 9F Evening Star. Other parts from the Margate build era included.
Sad to see them go as they were from early years, but a better home that can appreciate them and make them feel wanted amongst friends!
