HORNBY Electric G.W.R. No.2 MIXED GOODS SET.

Manufactured by Meccano Ltd. of Liverpool, circa 1935. From the Hornby Series O gauge range.
Complete boxed set with all the correct constituent components.
Pressed tinplate, all metal construction, enamel painted finish. Locomotive in full maroon G.W.R. livery,
electric mechanism in very full working order.
Excellent paint finish with a few very minor paints nicks, buffer beams way above average. Complete with a full a full compliment of correct original fittings. Plated nutted driving wheels with no signs of metal fatigue, bogie & pony truck wheels are also in fine condition.
Goods brake van, Shell petrol tank wagon, open wagon & cattle truck, all complete with will all there correct original fittings. The roofs have a few paint chips.
Full set of rails – 12 x 2 Ft. radius curves (one with brake levers), 2 x straight rails. 14 track connector plates & combined spanner / rail gauge / screw driver.
Very good, clean , structurally sound box base. The lid is however a bit of a disaster!
Overall a very sound original train set, ready to use & enjoy.
Compatible with most other makers of vintage gauge 0 trains; French Hornby, Bing, Marklin & Etc.
