This is a fine model example of the holder of the world speed record for a steam locomotive. The MALLARD achieved 126mph on Stoke Bank in its first year in service.This highly detailed locomotive is in excellent, unmarked condition and appears to have had very little track use. It is a very smooth and powerful runner in both directions and is powered by a Ringfield motor which is located in the tender. This loco also has a sprung loco to tender drawbar giving a smoother stop start. All buffers, couplings, metal handrails and cab glazing are complete. Nameplates and decals are also clear and intact.This would make an excellent addition to any model railway layout.Comes boxed complete with operation and maintenace instructions.
