For Sale, It is with great sadness that I am listing my Hornby Live Stem Flying Scotsman train set, But I have been offered a live steam PAPYRUS the holly grail of the live steam world by a fellow OO club member so am ONLY selling to help fund.I purchased this train set secondhand, The chap had only used it a couple of times and then stored it in his loft like so many other sadly disregarded live steam sets, I then had him send it to Hornby in Margate who thoroughly checked everything over including the controllers and power supply and fitted brand-new traction tires to the train wheels, I have run the train several times on rolling road and live steam layout. The train was fully serviced by the OO live steam club at the Doncaster show on the 9th of February 2019 invoice to prove, It received its annual service by the legenday Nick Beard who fitted A brand-new cylinder service kit, A brand-new loco to tender pipeseal kit, it was also fitted with the 00 Live steam clubs up-rated tender water seal and loco oil seals, The train is in perfect physical condition and still has its front steps in place the tender is also in perfect condition, The controller and powersupply are also in excellent used condition as are all the connecting cables and mains lead, The only thing missing from the box is the small flat screwdriver and a pair of gloves for handling the train when it is hot, The track is complete in a used condition including the power track, there is also a partially used bottle of Hornby live stream oil. The box lid is very tatty and stained from being stored in the loft by the previous owner, but the inner box and polystyrene inserts are all very good, all spares are still redly available from Hornby but the Best place is from the OO live stream clubs website www.oolivesteam.com You will need to purchase distilled water from the OO club as Hornby no longer sell it and you cannot use tapwater, This is Only 6 a bottle including postage, If you can collect in person from Scarborough I will give you a bottle of the water for Free and also some extra track, you can also have the live steam board layout I am also selling for Free, The only reason I cannot include it with postage is it is very heavy and would cost too much for me to send in the post with the train set, Thank you for taking the time to look at my auction on this brilliant train set. I cannot over emphasise how much better these are then any traditional train set, That smell you can only get from a live steam train and watching the steam from the chimney is simply amazing. So much better than watching a Digital TTS train sitting on the track making a noise doing absolutely nothing low starting price with no reserve. I am open to serious offers.
