This Hornby Dublo set (2024) belonged to my Grandfather and I remember seeing it in the early 1960s, when he bought it after retiring to the coast. The engine, “City of London” was always with this set, but obviously does not match the description of the set 2024 box.
The contents are:
2-6-2 ‘City of London’ Engine.
‘City of London’ coal tender
White closed truck
Grey closed truck
Grey open truck
Grey open flat truck
Shell Lubricating Oil tanker truck
ICI white tanker truck
Condition is Used.
Box intact but showing signs of wear at the edges
