You are bidding for a Hornby/Dapol14xx tank loco fitted with all metal tyres which improves electrical pickup (Rubber tyres are difficult to obtain now) Extra weight has been added to the loco to compensate for not having rubber tyres. The chassis has been machined to give it that pro-typical look of being able to look through under the boiler see pic’s Not a normal feature with Hornby chassis) It has real coal and has been renumbered 1405 which was an Exeter (83C) Engine mainly used on the Tiverton and Heathfield Lines. The unlined black is as it was in the early 1950’s (I only model engines I have seen).
I am selling because I have built a couple myself and my MPD is rather full.
