The British-made MTR Metro Cammell EMU (AC) is the original electric train in HK, and remains in service today in refurbished form, as depicted the by the model. Originally constructed in the early 1980s, refurbishment took place between the mid and late 1990s. These trains are still servicing Hong Kong’s East Rail line today. Their retirement is planned for 2020.
A beautifully crafted model with exterior and interior details, depicting a very significant chapter of Hong Kong railway history.
