Unfortunately I am continuing the task of selling my father’s collectionwho passed away 4 years ago. Dad was modelling and collecting for over 70years!!Thisitem: Historic Locomotive Drawings in 4mm Scale including GWR Star LNER J69 LMS 8F SR Bullied etc etc, a long out of print hardback book, wonderful for the kit or scratchbuilder of Locos .Extremely detailed, packed with scale drawings/diagrams over 104 pagesFrom the Internet:
“Anyone who takes more than a passing interest in the railways of Britain, will find this book thoroughly indispensable. The spiral-bound, slightly larger than A4 landscape format, lends itself well to the 4mm to 1 foot scale outline drawings contained within the soft, glossy jacket. Numbering 104 drawings in total, the book includes many of the most famous of all British steam locomotives, although diehards will inevitably comment upon some notable omissions.
Each locomotive drawing, is representative of that type as built, without later modification. It may be necessary for the prospective modeller to do a little more detective work to discover which (if any) modifications applied to a particular locomotive during its period of service, but Historic Locomotive Drawings by F. J. Roche, gives an excellent initial basis from which to begin. There are also many detailed drawings of tenders and fittings, which are particularly important to modellers of the larger scales and gauges. In all, an excellent source of reference.
