I’ve been collecting model railways for 45 years and I’m now breaking up that collection of USA, European and UK models in a range of scales/gauges – watch my seller account for some bargains and also some really special items.
This item is a British Railways (BR) Fairburn 2-6-4 Tank locomotive, number 42073, in BR Mixed Traffic Lined Black with Late Crest.
Please note that the lid has a nasty crack and damage which I have specifically photographed. The lower half of the packaging and the loco and internal packaging show no damage at all and the loco runs well.
This loco has a Digitrax DZ125IN DCC decoder fitted and is programmed for DC and DCC operation and to use long address 4273. The loco has been tested for sale using both DC and a Gaugemaster (MRC) Prodigy Advance DCC controller and works well. The loco is programmed with a realistic acceleration and top speed but the buyer can re-programme the loco to change those if they wish.
