The book assumes you have no Electrical or Electronic knowledge and tries to help you understand how and why certain pieces of equipment do what they do. It gives an explanation for most of the electronic symbols you will encounter in circuits on the internet. It explains the different types of wire to use and why. It explains all the different types of switches that can be used on your layout. Once you have this basic knowledge it then shows you simple wiring diagrams on how to do most things.
