This Crossfields Perfection Soap 7-plankopen wagon will appeal to anyone who is keen on the London & North Western Railway, later to become part of the London, Midland andScottish Railway. It is in mintcondition and looks as if it has never been used.
The wagon is red in colourwith white lettering. On each sidehas its owner’s name and business details Crossfields Perfection Soap inwhite letters with black shading.
It also carries a runningnumber of 84, and the customary weight markings of “6-3-0 Load 10 Tons” can also be seen insmaller white print.
The black underframe is fittedwith insulated metal spoke wheels running on metal pinpoint axles.
The box is in excellentcondition too (Id rate it at 9 /10) see picture.
