The last loco from my collection – check my feedback if in any doubt about what I say here;

As my layout was never completed, all my locos that were purchased new (as here) were only ever test run.

However, in the case of this loco, which is DCC fitted, the Dapol packaging is so over tight, that the end detail and two buffers snapped off during the first attempt at getting it out of the box.

I complained about this to Joel at Dapol, who sent a new body to me, but was unable to do anything about the buffers that snapped off, as they were part of the chassis, which due to the very new nature of the model at that time, was not available as a spare.

It turns out that there is a knack to getting them out, which is still not ideal in honesty, and the design is definitely over zealous.

Please note that to avoid any future damage, that the loco AND foam must be removed from the plastic case as one, and the foam then carefully stretched out and up off the loco, with the same procedure to replace it.
Silly overkill that does more harm than good, but there you go!

The loco comes with all original paperwork and accessories, as well as the snapped off pieces of the two buffers, and two dummy DCC chips that allow it to run on a DC layout.

Currently, the DCC chip is fitted, though I don’t know it’s ID – not a problem apparently.
