Foster M. ‘BRITISH TOY TRAINS’ Book 5.
Volume five of Michael Foster’s series on the history of the smaller & more obscure British toy train manufacturers.
The result of over thirty years of collecting & painstaking research by Michael, renowned for his seminal work on Hornby Dulbo published by New Cavendish books, way back in 1980.
British Toy Trains volume 5 covers the tot train products of Mettoy Ltd.
Meticulously researched over many years, the book explores the history of these long lost companies & then examines the full product range of each, drawing on the author’s own collection & those of fellow collectors in order to illustrate as fully as possible the wonderful toy trains they manufactured.
Landscape format, glazed card covers, 190 pages, hundreds of full colour illustrations + black & white archive images from contemporary catalogues.
Volume 1 covering; Astra, Chad Valley, Burnett, Palitoy & Whitanco.
