New Kato N Scale Union Pacific UP City of Los Angeles Club Lounge #6203
This is a brand new Kato N Scale Smooth Side UnionPacific Club Lounge #6203 from the newly released City of Los Angeles 11-car set. This Club Lounge passenger car isin excellent condition, having never been used. Includes the following: Rollinglow profile metal wheels and Kato knuckle couplers 11″(282mm) minimum turning radius on ground level track, and 15″ (381mm)minimum turning radius on viaduct track Allpart details are included and pre-attached Club Lounge #6203 comes from the 11-car set, Union Pacific City of Los Angeles#106-087. Kato’s originalprototype is an 85 ACF Club Lounge car. Club Lounges6200-6208 on the Union Pacific were originally nine, lightweight 85 Riverseries Club Lounges that were delivered by ACF in June of 1949. Originallynamed Loup River, Platte River, Columbia River, Colorado River (later #6203),Green River, Mojave River, Portneuf River, Payette River, and Weber River, thecars featured a barbershop complete with shower, and lounge seating for 38passengers. In March of 1956, thecars lost their River names and were renumbered 6200-6208, and Colorado River became#6203. The barbershop was listed in UPs car diagram as being converted tostorage space as well. This is the car that Kato modeled. Then, in 1959, theywere remodeled and the former barbershop, shower, and stewards room wereconverted to a card room with two tables and seating for 11. In January of1974, #6203 was held by Union Pacific for special service, and was renamed SunValley in 1990.
