BOWMAN O Gauge L.N.E.R. 4-4-0 LOCOMOTIVE & TENDER.
Manufactured by Bowman Models of Dearham, Norfolk, circa 1936. Classic live steam locomotive for running on 0 gauge track.
Brass boiler, steel main frames & footplate, tinplate cab & tender body, cast iron wheels.
Totally original condition; structurally sound & complete with a full compliment of original fittings.
This can not have been steamed on above half a dozen occasions, some inevitable scorching to the paintwork of the boiler (slightly more to the left hand side) but in way better condition that these loco’s are usually found. The tender is a superb example.
A late example with pressed steel connecting rods & a candy striped cardboard box.
The box is very crisp with no tears or splits, if a little grubby.
Comes complete with the original instruction sheet & the rare swan neck filling funnel which avoids having to remove the whole burner unit in order to replenish the fuel tank.
Tested on compressed air, it runs like a rocket!
