BASSETT LOWKE O Gauge LAYOUT in STEEL TRACK.
Manufactured by Winteringhams of Nothampton for Bassett Lowke, circa 1950.
Factory produced sections (not home made from components).
Steel rail in die-cast lead alloy chairs mounted on timber sleepers & battens.
Exceptionally clean condition, no dents, distortion or corrosion.
Intended for live steam or clockwork operation, could be fitted with a centre conductor rail for 3-rail operation – I can supply the necessary parts at extra cost if required.
The job lot comprises:-
8 x Curves Rails 3′ radius with wide sleeper spacing.
5 x Curved Rails 3′ radius with 2″ sleeper spacing.
15 x Straight Rails each 18″ long.
1 x Left Hand Turnout 18″ long.
1 x Straight Rail 10″ long.
3 x Short Curved Rails (equal to one full curve)
A full circle is composed of 12 sections, therefore this collection is sufficient to assemble a large oval lay-out with one siding.
Also suitable for SM32 narrow gauge live steam or battery powered operation.
NB. the point is uninsulated therefore not suitable for 2-rail electric operation.
