This engine was purchased in the USA last year, along with a few others that I am selling, just before my wife and I returned to the UK.
It only had minimum run time on my layout in the USA, and has been is storage for six months.
My layout here is much smaller than I used to have, and so I have decided to sell my heavier duty locos.
When unpacked, both power units ran immediately on my layout, and coped well with the smaller radius tracks that I now have. Running individually at full speed, they do pose a derailment possibility, so I would recommend 12 1/2″ radius or more for efficient speedy running.
I tested units 7A and 7B both forwards and backwards, and then attached 8 passenger carriages to the twin unit where it pulled up my gradients with ease.
The locomotives are DCC ready – but as I only run analogue – I can not test it. Sorry!
To all intent and purposes, this is a new loco which should serve the prospective buyer well.
