Bachmann 36-569 Class 90 Decoder – Brand New In Box -Bring your Class 90 to life with this new Decoder. The Class 90 is the first British outline electric locomotive to feature a servo motor-operated Pantograph which can be raised or lowered when using Digital Command Control (DCC). To operate the pantograph, a DCC decoder which is configured for servo motor operation must be used.Damage to the servo motor that operates the pantograph will occur if a standard decoder is fitted. The Bachmann Class 90 Loco-decoder (36-569) is essential for any customers wishing to use the Branchline Class 90 on DCC. Pre-configured specifically for this model, youll be raising and lowering your pantograph in no time thanks to the Class 90s easy-access decoder socket. Produced in conjunction with Zimo, this decoder will operate the full array of lighting (5 functions) and also features the brake function, adding yet another element of realism to your operating experience.Modellers using analogue control can pose the Pantograph in both up and down position and can also benefit from a number of lighting functions. For added authenticity, the cab lights will not illuminate on analogue control when the model is moving, however you can choose between day or night mode and the directional lights at either end can be turned off independently via the easy-access roof-mounted switches. Check out a demo video here: https://youtu.be/buxVq9tBs0g

Our Loco37003: Released 28 December 1960 from English Electric Vulcan Foundry, Works Number EE/VF2866/D582, numbered D6703 in British Railways all-over green, and part of the first batch of Type 3s (D6700-D6703)  delivered during 1960. D6703 was initially allocated to Stratford depot (30A) for duties including Class  1 trains to/from London Liverpool Street. Later, she was allocated to various other Eastern Region depots:  Tinsley, Thornaby, Healey Mills, Gateshead and Immingham. Our loco has carried two names: in April 1963 she was named “First East Anglian Regiment”, but the name was never unveiled; much later, while based  at Tinsley in 1989, 37003 received an unofficial ‘painted-on’ nameplate “TIGER MOTH”, which she carried until  overhauled at Doncaster in 1992 (and repainted in ‘Dutch’ civil engineer’s livery).37003 was withdrawn from traffic in 1994 and stored at Bescot and Crewe, until purchase by the Group in 1998.She was then rebuilt pretty much from the ground up: everything from installing a new power unit (from 37073!)  via rebuilding the cabs down to refitting the original buffer-beam skirts – until in 2003 she was restarted for  the first time in preservation. By late 2004, in a fresh coat of Rail Blue and with reinstated headcode blinds,  she was ready to haul her first passenger train since her BR days37003 is currently at UKRL in Leicester being restored to 1960’s condition.  You can follow her progress in the Loco Progress section of our website. She will be available to attend diesel galas and other preservation events soon – please contact us by email if you’d like to know more!If you like what you see, why not join us via the Membership section of our website, or just send us a donation via the donate link on our websites front page.
