This is a rare opportunity to buy a really good example of an HO Gauge Athearn Genesis SD70ACE in the stunning green and yellow livery of the Chicago and North Western Heritage with DCC and excellent Tsunami2 Sound. Road number 1995 and Athearn product number ATHG68884. Totally original loco and packaging.
I bought this loco brand new from Trainworld in New York to go with other heritage locos I had. All the others have been sold. They were all parked together on the layout for visual effect and rarely run. Run time with this loco would be calculated in minutes rather than hours. It has been test run only and never pulled a train.
This was the last Heritage I bought, it was parked on the layout for some time, and then packed away and I actually forgot I had it. Making room for some new stock allowed me to discover it again. A quick dust off and away you go. An update to my fleet means a sad farewell. Too good not to be used.
Not easy to find especially on this side of the pond, so don’t let it get away.
Factory fitted DCC and excellent Tsunami2 sound with the loco programmed to the road number 1995. Very smooth runner with fully functional lights (See photos). I am not a sound or DCC fanatic so lights, bell and horn were really all I used. Directional movement, lights, horn and bell have all been tested. These are all fine. No reason why other functions should not be the same, they are unused and untested.
Comes in its own box with all original paperwork that came with it from new including warranty card though obviously this is no longer valid. There is an alternative cab roof included in a sealed pack inside the box. Never used. Usual Athearn blister pack packaging and stunning blue Genesis box. Box is as new.
Please do look carefully at the photos as they do form part of the description. What you see in the photos in the condition you see it in is exactly what you will get in the parcel. I am always happy to provide more photos if required.
