The loco is in very good condition having hardly been used.
Note this model has been modified as below:
– The pantograph has been swapped for a metal sprung version. This is stronger than the plastic Hornby one especially in the raised position and should permit some operation under wires.
– Working white LED headlight on DC only in one end in direction of travel, will work on DCC with modifications to wiring
– Flush glaze windows with wipers
– Extra buffer beam and cab interior detailing
– Extra roof detail, including gas bottles and radio aerials
– Traction tyre wheels removed and replaced with matching hornby metal wheels – this means all wheel pickup and smoother running.
– Extra weight added due to above to give better traction, can haul a long free running passenger train with ease on level track.
– Weathering to underframe and roof
DCC ready/newer bogie mounted sealed can motor.PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT THE EXPENSIVE HIGHLY DETAILED ALL WHEEL DRIVE MODEL .
