I’m selling all my Marklin HO layout. As concerns the locomotives, I’m assessing each one to reflect not just its appearance and condition, but also its running standard. You’ll find all my other loco listings follow the same format.
Model Number: 3631 Diesel
Address: 26
Bodywork condition: good (slight scratch on roof – a quick respray is all that’s really needed). Very easy to remove the roof.
Running gear condition: very good
Performance: excellent
Single function (telex): works very well. Lights permanently on.
Multiple functions: n/a
Super slow speed (crawl): very good forwards. Can stutter a little in reverse, but with one more increment of power it’s good.
Pantograph: n/a
Hours run: less than 30, more than 25
Carton (Box): Previously stated as “No Box” but now I have the box! Also, I had the wrong item number. It is 3665!
Original manual: no
Despite the no box, and no manual, maintenance instructions are easy to find on the web. This little engine is super useful in a shunting yard and has always been a favourite. We used to call it “Salty”.
