Here we have an early hand painted passenger car made by Marklin before 1910. The car’s red paint and yellow pinstriping is completely original and nice and bright. The green on the base and the paint on the roof are all original as well. One corner of the car seems a bit burnt or damaged, but the paint is not flaking or anything and will not get worse. It also appears someone has repainted the underside of the car, possibly after resoldering the buffers. It has Mrklin couplers but they are held in with a small nut and bolt rather than the original rivets. Very nice looking car for its age.
