Vintage 1960s Playcraft PI051 “Crewe” Clockwork Goods Train Set
The track is currently attached to a board, (dimensions 30 inches x 48 inches). I had been hoping to sell the set on a collection only basis with board attached. However, I fear that I will need to remove the track from the board and provide a shipping option for the set only.

In addition to the engine, the set contains: Grey wagon Brown wagon Guard’s van Car transporter with six cars Playcraft brochureAlso, stored in the box are a home-made cardboard tunnel and two plastic microscopes, which in an era of “make-do”, I used as improvised signals.
All the items are in quite clean condition. Some slight rust on a couple of the nails used to attach track to board, but the track itself is fine. Brown wagon has some rust underneath and on couplings, but the other wagons and locomotive seem fine. Box has a few scuffs and a couple of tears. Having tried winding the locomotive, I can confirm that it is operational. However, it seems quite considerably lacking in power, (wheels rotate when engine is held suspended, but not when under load). Possibly the spring has deteriorated, or I am no longer brave enough to turn the key sufficient times for fear of causing any damage. Please use the attached photographs as a detailed guide to condition.
Having originally been acquired new in the 1960s, the set has been stored away in a cupboard for many years, with the track lay beneath a bed.
